    another newbie

Just another chevy lover who's prolly too old, but still got it in my bones. Present project is a result of pulling a '61 big-back-glasser out of a back yard--and 1st look under the hood was a space just crying for a 6.0! And I just happened to have a great running & driving junker 2001 Silverado 2500 I'd bought real cheap($750). Knew it had the 6.0 when I bought it; & then I thought the trans looked awful big hanging on the back; sure enough it was a 4L80E. Looking forward to driving this '61/6.0/4L80E home soon and parking beside my '66, ?stocker?/307/700R4/ps/pb/tilt/'05seats/more, that my wife said was the ugliest truck she'd ever seen. (That was before I washed it with AJAX and a brush--and then updated it mechanically. She even rides in it now!) Looking equally forward to swapping info with you guys: you all have been referred to me more than once! Must say I was highly impressed, just browsing. Sam, in SC
