    lt1 or lt4 conversion

i have a 94 c1500 2wd that i am planning a v8 lt1 or 4 swap, any info i could get would be greatly appreciated. the motor now is a 4.3v6. i have done many s10 v8 swaps but this is my first full size. i love the room in the cab and engine bay. i dont think ill ever go back to little trucks.

If the LT1 is free then maybe...no if its free, sell it, save a little more and buy a LS motor. LT1 makes power but the aftermarket is just better on the LS.

Strictly answering your question, choosing between LT1 and LT4 no question there go LT4 IMO. But I would only do that if you have a complete LT4 already, if you are going to go to the expense of putting a LT4 top-end on a LT1 then yeah do what HarleyDave says and sell the motors and buy a 5.3L or (preferably) a 6.0 LS-based motor.
