    Wanting to put a 6.0 or 6.2 on a 97 2 door tahoe

    Iam wanting to put a 6.0 or 6.2 on a tahoe. I wanting to know what all do i need to do this swap besides the motor? Iam new to all this stuff. Iam used to wrenching on my 10 sec fox mustang but now iam wanting to do something diffrent and i sure need alot of help lol. So if yall dont mind can i get the basics at least.

    6.2 is a 58t so youll need to have the crank pulled and the 24t put in OR order the 58t tob24t converter (275.00)
    the 6.0 needs to be a 02-07 classic thats a 24t so itll work with a nelson performance harness OR a reworked stock harness. you get a newer 6.0 thats dbw, sell that and pick up a dbc tb so it can work with your stock throttle cable.
    redheartbeatbhas a lsx swap thread that is VERY helpful, or you can go to 1994 chevy 1500 progress and youll have the 58t to 24t swap help

    What is a 58t or a 24t? Whats a 6.0 dbw? whats a dbc tb?

    look at the very top of your previous page. "lsx swap into obs" by redheartbeat
    dbw = drive by wire which is electronic
    dbc = drive by cable which uses a throttle cable like your current motor
    58t is for gen 4 motors in 07-09 NNBS an other cars 4.8,5.3,6.0,6.2 its what the computer reads with the crank sensor I THINK
    24t is for gen 3 which is the NBS 4.8,5.3,6.0 have
