i used them and had to cut the collector on the driver side to angle it into the center more, had to trim the frame rail on the pass side about 1/2 inch for the length of the collector to keep it from rubbing. they do work but not just a bolt on deal. i used long tube headers, i realized you are talking about the stock manifolds, sorry

I had some on my 86, they work, just need to grind pass side down some so it does not rub frame.
I've got a set already to go in my garage...I went with headers.

ok so if i used the direct fit short headers that are on ebay that claim to bolt up the the factory collectors on a camaro they should just about fit ???

I remember Beatertruck had a set of Fbody LS1 long tube headers in his square body truck.
See my truck data in the "My Garage" section here... http://www.ls1truck.com/forums/my-ga...tml#post191709

i was under the impression that the camaro headers were narrower than the truck my 5.3 truck manifold has the EGR on the PASS side and hits right where the bolts conect to the crossmember on the frame rail and also hit at the rear where the collector bolts some grinding required there to the frame !!! i would run non EGR monifolds and mod the frame at the rear but i want something with a note!!!
so im looking into those block hugger headers they are shortys but im afraid that they will hit where the EGR on the truck manifolds are hitting now!! if the camaro manifolds fit then i would think the block huggers might clear aswell !!
