    70 F100 LQ4-T56 Conv

I've spent lots of time on the information super highway looking for info on a conversion someone has done that is similar to what I want to do with my 1970 F100, but haven't seen much. It's got the factory 360 and New Process 435 tranny in it right now and I want to get that out of there and put a '98+ LQ4 and Tremec T-56 in it to make it respectable. Has anybody out there done this on an F100 of a similar year as mine? A friend that has done multiple LS1 and LQ4 conversions is the brains behind this operation, but I'm trying to get as educated about this as I can before we begin in May. Any potential issues that you've run into or advice is appreciated.

    Thanks all!

Probably the hardest part is trying to get the engine mounted.
After that, you'll just need the correct fuel supply, wiring harness and pcm to get it started.
I"m not sure on the gauge stuff.

GM didn't make an LQ4 in 98, but I see what you're getting at.
I'd go with a 2001 up 6.0L and those will have the aluminum heads and crankshaft that doesn't stick out. It may make mounting a T56 behind it a bit easier.
