    C5 Z06 filter assembly

I made some changes to my setup and the air box normally pulls air from both sides but i made a fibreglass bottom for it.Intake temps tonite were 6 degrees warmer from outside air at cruise and rose about 10 degrees at idle in drive.Throttle response is great and seems to have a little better low end....still in the testing stages, but so far so good. Im pulling air from the cowl and the front of the truck as well.clearence is pretty close at the altenator pulley but it has about 2 inches or so.Tell me what you think....

Looks pretty good. And I guess the numbers speak for themselves. Is it a reuseable filter?

I like it. Do you think that setup would work with a ram-air style hood, or is the airbox too far forward?

how does the bottom of the cowl look? Is it open at the back and just dumps into the engine compartment, or does it end near the airbox?

I'm running an aftermarket intake that was designed for the C5, but right now it is just sucking in hot air.

I call it my Hot Air Intake for now until I build a box to shield it from underhood heat and scoops to direct air from the grille area.
