    Couple questions

Can my 08 6.0 DBW harness be modified to work with DBC or should I get a new harness? Can the computer be reprogrammed to use with DBC? Do you think a 74k mile 4L60E would hold up to a 6.0?

Stick with the DBW. Why would you want to change it? The PCM and all would have to be modified to allow a cable type throttle and then it probably won't pass any emissions testing standards.

Yes on the transmission, as long as you're under 350 rwhp.

I was thinking a DBC would be a simpler install, and I'm having a hard time getting the guy who sold me the motor to get me the TAC module. I figured if I was going to have to buy a TAC module, might as well swap to DBC.

Where is the TAC module an a 08? On my 05 it's on the firewall beside the brake booster. I looked on a 08 today and it's not there. I also noticed that my 05 has somewhat of a normal looking pedal with an electrical connection on it, but the pedal from the 08 is different. Its all plastic (looks pretty cheap). Should I look for a pedal from an older model for my 83 swap?

I just happened upon a brand new GM truck cable throttle body with IAC and TPS for anyone swapping DBW to cable...

Im switching from DBW to DBC on my 82. Nelson Perf. is doing all the hard work with the ECU and TPS and IAC. May be worth looking into.
