    Intake idea

    What do you guys think about this idea for my intake?





    This is the filter I would put on it...
    K&N RF-1034

    I once asked the same ? and everybody said all it would do is suck hot air and I would lose HP.

    I've always had the idea of getting a vette or Camaro SS style intake and making a functional ram air, Just never had the time or money to do it.

    I cant see where it would get that much less hot air if I moved it a foot and a half to the left or right..

    You'll pick up heat anywhere under the hood. You get air through the passenger side fender so if you 90 it and remove the plastic plenum from the core supportt it will get cool air while moving. There's no good place under the hood except for the factory box that kept cool air sucking in all of the time but took HP away.

    You don't want the filter directly in front of the fans though. You might get into some knock retard so I wouldn't keep it there forever if you're looking for efficiency.

    when you suck the hot air iitll make youre iats hotter and pull timing ,hence loose power.
