    new from houston

    hello everyone,
    im new to the forum and have found some very useful information. i have a 02 silverado with the 5.3 engine and want to start fixing it up but im at about 110K miles, would i be best off getting a new engine or will it be safe to mod?
    i also need some help in trying to pick out a lsd because i dont like 1 leg burnouts. any info will be appreciated.

    Welcome to LS1truck! You've come to the right place for getting info on mods for your truck!

    Ok...110K. Eh, its not that bad of mileage for these LS motors. There are several people way into the 6-figure range for mileage who have hella mods on their trucks and they still run great! We even have a guy on here who has 203k on his 2004 5.3 who as all boltons and a cam in a ECSS and runs low, low 14's.

    A few easy things to do for now:
    Cold Air Intake
    Longtube headers and Offroad y-pipe
    Performance muffler
    Ported or larger throttle body--no TB spacer!
    pulleys
    Electric fans
    Custom Tune
