No you can't do it with resistors. The body control module puts out a sign wave I think that has to be received by the PCM. There is a resistor that the body control module looks for in the column switch or on some the key. Those bypass modules will not work on trucks or vettes. Something to do with a serial signal or something. I do have acces to the BCM, can that just be wired in to start the truck? I am planning to send the computer to Allen at Nelson Perf. for a tune, but would like to get the truck started so I can move it around from my house to the muffler shop, paint shop and for inspection.
If you have the BCM and hook it up like factory with the right resistor key/column ect it should work just like it did from the factory. I'm no BCM expert and do not know what all it looks for when turning off VATS. You might just have to get it turned off by Allen anyway.
