    Sending unit help

    I got my sending unit and pump in today. There was a rubber bushing that looked to go on the sending unit where the pump rest but i couldnt get the pump to fit with the rubber peice on....Do i have to use this?

    You mean a large O-ring? If so yes that seals the pump to the tank. You might have to lube it a little.

    No, Im talking about the rubber peice that the is on the sending unit where the pump sits. It is between the pump and the sock on the metal part where the pump is suppose to sit. It is an 87 style sending unit and an ep381 pump.

    what is making it not fit? Is the rubber line that goes to the pump too long?

    why did you get a ep 381 pump?? ive only heard of the ep241's. and yes im sure its necessary so it doesnt vibrate/rattle around.
