On the left (driver) head, on the side, right in front of the exhaust manifold. there is a sensor, it is wired to the new PCM (Nelson harness). I understand that I need to add a '92 (truck year) sensor so that my stock gauge will operate.

Question:
The right side head has a plug installed in this same location (now, the rear of the head). Would this be a good location to add the old style sensor?

That's where mine is, but reversed. I have the stock LS1 sensor in the passengers head and the stock 93 sensor in the drivers side head. I had to rerun the wiring to do that though. I bought the adapter for the sensor from hotrodlane.cc

Another problem, I am now running out of fuel (I think) it'll run and run good for a short while, then rpm's start falling and quits (like turning off the key).

Thinking a split hose in the tank.
SHAME ON ME,,,,, this what happens when you read but DON"T DO.
I installed the rubber pieces that came with the Walbro pump instead of > well you know.
Now I either have to pull the bed or drop the tank. I am going with the bed removal as there is some other work to do under there anyway (more clearance needed for the 6" drop).

My brother-in-law said it may be a vacuum lock, because I have the fuel tank line for the charcoal canister plugged (tank unable to breathe). I also have the brass nipple plugged, the one on the left side of the intake right behind where the throttle body bolts on (the same nipple you can see in the pic of the LS6 intake on the home page here. Any thought on that?

Take the gas cap off and drive and see if it runs out of fuel and dies. If it doesnt then it's not a vacuum problem in the tank. I'm thinking a gas cap allows air in but not out, a one-way valve. I guess it depends on the condition of the cap. That hiss you sometimes hear when you pull the cap off to refuel is a vacuum pulled in the tank by the pump and the fuel vapor solenoid on the engine. I find it hard to believe the pump could quit pulling fuel for that reason.

Same here. I have pulled the cap very soon after it's died (like the first thing when I got out) and no vacuum suction happening, again leading me to the other scenario, the intank hoses. I will also check into the tank gauge not working.
