Well I am a new guy here. Have posted a few times. I currently own a 91 gmc syclone, which is the main project truck. I have a 92 GMC sierra with a 4.3 and 5 speed. Looking to do research on the LQ9 swap. I am in california so must be smog legal. Just introducing myself.

You got any pics of the Sy? You should be able to find LOTS of information on the OBS V8 swaps. Lots of guys on here have done similar swaps.

They Syclone is not running yet. Build consists of h-beams, SRP pistons, mellings HV oil pump, clevitte bearings, double roller timing chain, vortec heads(port polished), 987 springs, 1.5 comp rollor rockers, rollor lifters, 412 comp cam. and on and on..... art carr 4l60....gt67 turbo with the works. and a whole bunch of other stuff. Will post pics later on.

I like the old style trucks, and want the GMC to tow the syclone, and have fun while I drive it. I got my hands on a 03&#39; LQ4 short block for &#036;600, out of a escalade with 35k miles. I&#39;m reading through the posts to find and make me a list for the conversion. Thanks for the welcome.
