    Turbo Silverado FS

    http://ls1tech.com/forums/showthread.php?t=777156

I don't know anything about this truck or who's it is. . . but it was too bad ass not to post over here.
    New project truck:

    '00 ECSB 4wd, 5.3, 3" body lift, gap guards, 18x9 Moto Metal 951's, 305/60/18 Mickey Thompson MTZ's

To-do list: Built rear end, 6.0 swap with built top end, 4L80e, and a couple bottles in the bed.

But regardless, it's a badass truck. Even if the new owner did have to drop an extra $500 for a 60k mile 6.0 out of a salvage yard. . . you might even call it justifyable. Any way, just thought it might start a good conversation. If I had an extra $11,000 sitting around, I'd be waving it infront of his face.

nah, if you know how to make power with one of these motors you'll find out how to blow them up too. I killed my first one at 20k miles, threw a rod out the side of the block in my 01 Z28 h/c car. trucks making 300rwhp with h/c is a totally different ball game than what i'm talking about bro.

Proper cam, timing and tuning make all the difference in the world when tuning for high boost numbers. Stock compression on the 4.8 is what about 9.5:1 static compression? Does a turbo cam bleed off dynamic compression?

Never figured this would get so out of hand. Thanks for the referral KRW. I only have roughly 1k miles on boost, but it shows no sign of "exploding." If i remember, Parish was doing a test on a 5.3 running around 20#'s of boost with many passes, but he's just lucky, right? I appreciate it KRW, i was oblivious about this site. But seriously, enough of the bs, just buy my truck.

Since this thread is essentially one long, drawn-out argument full of insults, below is a reminder about forum rules.

    3. Flames, or Derogatory Insults

Flames or derogatory insults are strictly against the rules. If you disagree with another member's point of view, do so in a mature and civil manner. If someone posts to discuss their personal problems or seek help from other forum members, please do not respond unless you have something positive or helpful to add. If you find yourself being flamed or insulted by another member, please do not dignify that person with a response. Notify a moderator and let us handle it. If you feel you must respond to a flame or insult directly, please do NOT do so on the board. Use private messages or e-mail.

Suggestion: If you are particularly irritated by another member's posting habits and are constantly fighting the urge to flame them, you can click on that person's profile, and select "Add to ignore list." This will make that person's posts invisible to you.
