i dont know how much is needed for a factory tap shift like the denalis for a stock look...this seems like an easier way?

    should be fun

Looks pretty sweet, wonder how well this will work with our trucks... my manual shift option is very laggy.

I assume it would be similarly laggy with this setup.... it is a 6l80e afterall, not a Lambo.

Getting the manual shift function will be the trickiest part, the thing on the shifter and these paddles are just different switches. It would be cool, but if there's no way to actually improve the manual shift it'd be a waste.

i just want to manual shift for roll racing to be in the lowest gear i need to be in...being in 6th gear sucks by the time it downshifts the other guy is gone if i dont reel em in....the lag its probly cause you tap shift late?on our denali i tap shift it at 5500 and it hits 6k and shifts perfect...now if i shift late it lags bad.

on side note dont get me wrong when i punch my truck and it downshifts its neck snapping every freakin gear and pulls hard...

just an FYI: all you have to do is pull it into M and put it in M2, M3 or whatever gear you decide to have it in. then when you punch it tap it up to M6 and it will shift on its own vs you having to try to keep up with the shifts.

theres people on LS1tech that says the TCI paddle shifter will not work on the 6L80e

also im told you have to have the BCM programed with a 6spd system, then you will have a duplicate vin and will have to talk to the tech about trying to change the vin without losing the program that it's uploaded. im no tech but thats what ive come up with my search so far. there is no tap shift update for the non tap shift guys that swap in the 6spd as of now. there are a lot of people trying to figure it out.

i honestly dont see what is the problem with wiring the shifter buttons to the w.e wires in the bcm that signals the tcm. i would like a diagram of the BCM harness, and the TCM harness to see if i can just bypass all the crap vs needing this to do that to make that over there work to make this shift. blah blah blah lol
