well, it's a 2000 gmc sierra rcsb 4.8l a4. the engine is almost moded out, with the exception of a cam and ls1 edit. had nitrous but sold it. currently looking for another kit. rear leaf springs were removed and replaced with a kp 4-link and koni coil overs. hope to have my new 5.7l in by next summer. currently in the middle of rebuilding it. est hp=450. then i'll spray away or go with an ati. 18's are sold and i'm getting a 20/22" combo from intro wheels. rear fenders are cut and tubs are going in. from also has a 5" djm drop.
here's where most of my pics are.look through. you'll see my other toy also

Man, that truck is low! Nice an' clean too. Get you a custom tune (psst...Allen does them!) and get some huge power gains.Quote:

where is he located?
Nice truck and that much power from a 4.8, that's awesome.
I didn't see any 1/4 mile times, have you taken it to the track?
good luck on the project, and welcome,
allen
no new track times yet. when i was on the juice in albama, i was running 8.3-8.4 in the 1/8th :nx:
Low 8's should be in the very high 12 sec range to low 13 area. A 7.5 is a low 12 sec run.Quote:

Haulin' ass!
Allen you'll need that stall to keep up! Where's it at anyway?
i've got a 2800 stall now, but after the new motor i'll put a 3200
I'd like to see some pics of you 4 link rear setup!! :thumb:
Thats an awesome truck!!
I had Koni's on my BMW and loved them.
How much drop is that on your ride?
the front is at 5" and the rear is equal to about a 6" and is adjustable
Thats awesome :rock:Quote:

What kinda prices am I looking at for a setup like that?
What do I need... ?
For the rear 4link and coilovers...
And for the front just drop coils or control arms.. or both..
and shocks?
Am I forgetting anything?
this is my set up
kp component boplt on 4-link w/panhard bar- $500.00
koni coil overs- range from $200.00+
front 2 drop coils.(will compress down a little) 130.00
djm lower control arms 200.00+
i nwent with the coils instaed of a 5" dropp contol arm because i wanted it to be a little stiffer. i also installed all of this myself. the rear was monster notched because i had bags. removed them, threw in some cross braces, welded brackets to th rear end and bolted in the coil overs
Do you know their website?Quote:

And do you know of any other coilovers out there? Do I need a specific height or range?
they don't have a web site yet, but i can get you the #. there is a couple others you can go with for coil overs. it's your preferance. mine measure 15" from eve to eye. the spring rate is 200's but im going to put 225's. 200's feel a little soft
What intro's did you get? Have any pics yet with the wheels on. Thats my plan, sell the 18's and order the 20-22 combo. I'm lookin at the Intro Twisted Vista's or the Bonspeed Crokus.
A little faster then that. We ran 12.9 and the 1/8th was 8.6.. so i'm sure its more of a mid 12 pass. Not bad at all.Quote:

i wish it would do that but i don't think that little 4800 has the cube's for it. thats why im building a 5.7. there's no replacement for displacement :devil:Quote:

True but I honestly don't care about 1/4mi times...the 1/8th is more realistic to what you'd do on the street. 0-90mph or so is as fast as I'd go on the street. Usually from a 15-70mph roll is what usually happens.Quote:

When I have a vehicle that runs 7.99 or faster (ideally 7.49, I wanna get booted off a track) in the 1/8th on street tires then I know I am fast enough.
But running a 7.99 or faster on street tires it'd be hard for anything to get you from a dead stop on the street...it'd need something with some serious power to make a comeback that great.
true about that. not many times do you get a 1/4 run on the streetQuote:

Maybe I'll be there after the stall install, i'm hoping to drop a couple of tenths, i don't want to set my expectations too high, that way i'll be satisfied or surprised, lolQuote:

i run an average of 8.6 in the 1/8, so that sounds about right, you should be good for a 13.0 or better
later,
