For the right price, gm will do anything.
Ok, Understand, the LQ9 came stock in the,
2002–2006 Cadillac Escalade
2002–2006 Cadillac Escalade EXT
2003–2006 Cadillac Escalade ESV
2003–2007 Chevrolet Silverado SS
2004–2005 Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra Vortec HO Edition Only [Badging on truck](B4V)
2006–2007 Classic Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra VortecMAX Option.
That is stock off of the dealer floor. Now When you go to the dealer and want to order a car or truck you have all the options in the world!
For example Sundt construction ordered 33 04 EX Cab Silverado's from Sands Chevrolet options chosen: Power Windows, Power Seats, Vynal flooring 4L80-E, LQ9 and Paint RED. No HD Badging or Badging at all.
Then they ordered 6 Fully loaded 04 /Yukon/Denali's for upper management. Included were 4L80-E's and LQ9's. Truth be told most people when Buying a new car/Truck order what they want, and wont take Dealer lot stock due to the fact people have test drove the hell out of most of them. The worst thing you can do to a new engine with under 1,000mi is gas and go when test driving.
I just spoke to Lee/ My client and was told the truck he got was an over build for the Sheriff's office in the end of 05. It had all the fixing's except it had the Vynal floors! and no back seat/ well it had some sort of fiberglass seat he said. It even came with the cage. he said it was just what he needed to tow his toys! then oped for the LS7.
Like i said gm will do anything if youre willing to pay.
Nice sig shifty
except a 6.2 in a SCSB
yep I have pushed it and they say not happening. I believe they are worried about it out running the high powered/priced cars.
I wish they would make a rcsb 6.2 an call it an SS. That would sell like hot cakes
Will they do it as an option? NO. But will they install the 6.2 for you at the dealership, so you retain all factory warranty and have a warranty on the motor as well? YES.
Were actually looking into having a local dealer do a 6.0 swap in my moms burban....damn 5.7 sucks ass.
yeah your right trav they wanted 10,500 to put the 6.2 in a RCSB I said no thanks..... I could get a CC for that price.
I know its expensive...but it would be done at the dealership and you would have your 6.2 in an RCSB like you said they wouldnt do.
Like i said, if you have the money theyll do anything.
I have a rcsb with a 6.2L
I just spoke with my Dealer Rep, You can order the Reg Cab Short Bed with a 6.2L (L92) you can order any truck with any GMPP (Truck) crate engine. You can also order any Car with any GMPP (Car) Crate engine. The reason he said was the engines have to be compatible with the harnesses drop in and PCM change only no mod's to make it work. The floor sales rep cant help you with it and he wont, he will get no comish on the sale. It has to be done at the fleet side of the dealer. If your dealer doesn't have the fleet depot then you are screwed. He said that if you get a couple people who want them the fleet side will hook it up as well, as they get comish on bulk sales. Just an fyi.
Garrison will also do anything if you have money
