Thanks Guys, I'm putting the motor in My brothers C10. I think its a 77 or 78. Not too sure, I just picked it up and tossed it in the back yard.
I just ordered the motorset about 3 weeks ago and it arrived yesterday. I yet to pull it off the trailer and check the condition since I picked it up afterwork and it was dark by the time I got home.
Lambo, I live in Norman (home of Sooner Football :) as you know :) ).
This is for my one of my younger brothers. He's on his 5 tour to Iraq. So I've been really wanting to do his restoration for him. I hope to actually start working on it by late next month. Right now I'm just in the parts collecting mode.
I want to fit it with full Air Ride and the LS1 of course. Then its on to paint body and interior. It should be a pretty nice little show truck/driver when I'm done with it. I don't want to get too crazy cause he really likes the looks of the stock body. And I don't want to go through the hastle of a body drop or any crazy shaving or doors.

That project is a great one, great bodystyle, and great motor. They look hella good slammed and bagged too so thats a plus

And of course the damage from a forklift the seller hinted to. They are supposed to be sending me a truck oil pan for a replacement??? not sure thats going to work I had planned on using one of those conversion pans anyway. I just wanted them to give me something to make up for the damage really.

Now she's on hold until I get the Vmax and the race car checked off the to do list.
ahhh...that reminds me when i first picked up my 5.3 from the yard of junk!

This is my daily...... she recently (2 weeks ago) got pissed and grenaded a piston but normally its my daily..... I hope to have her back on the road by next week. So for now the Yellow Gixer is doing daily duty.

Oh yeah we normally hit up the dunes pretty hard all year. This year has been a bust with diesel prices being so high. Before I could do a full weekend for about $300 now its about double that. So we're only going up for a day trip and we're packing a tent just in case :).Quote:
