what u use for motor mounts that sits real nice!
I used some I got at a local auto parts store. they came as a complete mount.
Kinda like that just already assembled. not poly just stock rubber.
Looks like it belongs in there. :thumb: Kinda reminds me of TRTTurbo's truck.
His truck is actually the one that got me really wanting to do this, about the same color and all. I can't wait until its all done.
Yeah, we did that motor swap in record time. It went very quickly with all the tools right at hand. It's all the small details that take so much time. Billy handled the small finishing details. The Nelson Performance wiring harness made the swap simple.
Wiring the beast begins tomorrow. Allen's Harness is quality work, Shouldn't be too bad.
looks good! So the engine side of the mounts is from a 5.3, and the truck side was your stock mounts?

On the engine I have some adapter plates such as these
eBay Motors: LS1 LS6 CONVERSION MOTOR MOUNTS ADAPTER PLATES (item 230188741384 end time Nov-11-07 15:14:01 PST)
Then I have the cups seen here.

and all that is bolted to the stock style 350 motor mounts.
AH!! So since my truck was originally a V8, i can use those stock V8 cups. HUmmm those adapter plates seem easy enough to make. Somewhere i had bookmarked the specs and i was going to attempt to make them at work:D
Yeah, you can use your stock cups, you just have to eliminate that bump on them using one of the methods in the link.

Yea, Get the Cups p/n15719194 and the adapter plates, as well as the mount assembly same one I got just a different company I found this one at rockauto.com

Since you're going from V6-V8 you've got quite a bit of work ahead of you. Doing it twice will be a PITA. You need to remove the V6 steel mounts off the crossmember and bolt new rubber mounts to it. The best way to do it is with the lower a-arms removed, to access the nuts and bolts. hey guys i have a 4.3 just took it out and putting the 6.0 in. if u take a foot long ext. and a chrome wobble and a 15mm socket u can go in thru the frame between the control arm and hold it then loosen the bolt thru the top kinda easier than taking out control arm. it worked for me that way hopefully it works for u guys and good luck on the swap im right there with u guys

I got the engine wired up for the most part. I don't have much time to work on it during the week and its been raining this weekend.
Not much of an update, but I just have to mount the fuse block, Hook up the wires to the speedo, power, ign. and grounds; as well as swap fuel pumps and figure out the fuel plumbing. Radiator is mounted temporarily until I can find out a better way.
