is this for a car or truck?
i see a 5.3 is it rcsb or ecsb?
truck, RCSB
The stock pump should be good until you go forced induction.
man you wont here me say this very often but that cam is to big for your motor....stock pump will be fine for you for a long long time
what do you mean too big? how is it too big? And if it really is too big, what should i go with. Im trying to get as much power out of a cam as i can and still be streetable. Is the G5X3 possible? Will i have problems with it.
that duration on the cam will completely kill your bottom end and put the powerband so high up that you wont make any power really under 4500ish rpm...your idle will be set at like 1000+rpm, it will hurt you more then help you...you need to go down to a mid 22x/230 at most with a .58x/.58x on a 112-114lsa
Ask yourself this...do you want great PEAK hp/tq or do you want great hp/tq at any rpm? With a little more lift, that cam is bigger than mine and I have a 418 vs. a 325. Like you said it still has to drive daily, I'd go with a smaller cam if I were you.
MEAN 05, Since you seem to know alot about this subject, would you mind helping me get everything together that i need for the install of a good cam. Could you PM me a list of everthing, i mean everything that i am going to need. If its not too much trouble that is.
Honestly, the setup that is on the front page of this site is awesome, 100+ hp for just at $1000 is hard to beat and it's steetable.
