I may see what some fans cost while Im there, and let that be the deciding factor. I can imagine it would clean it up a bit. And I know how much fun
removing the mechanical fan can be sometimes.

The benefits are that you don't have parasitic loss to the mechanical fan because the electric fans only run when needed. I used the 05+ Silverado fans, they fit pretty well and I only had to cut the tabs off the side and it slid in. I had to adjust the lower radiator hose as well. Then I made some brackets to mount the fan to that use the holes for mounting the upper radiator shroud. I couldn't find an affordable fan harness that I liked, so I end up making my own.

Yes,the electric fans sound like the way to go, I'm looking to get as much fuel mileage as i can possibly get, so electric fans are on my list. Thanks

My fans came off of an F-body car. They fit just fine. A little smaller than the radiator size but work really well.

I ordered my fans off eBay and they where from an F-body and I order the wiring harness from Nelson Performance very nice piece simple install. Done and done!

Went to pick a part today, they already had wire harness pulled and put in a bag, labeled, ready to go. 2000 5.3 4l60e 4X4 $150.00. ECM with 0411 service# $75.00
Was really wanting to remove the harness myself so I could label and get a mental, but what can you do. Was able to get some goodies for my other build so that
made me feel good. So I got home, pulled the harness out of the bag, first thing I looked for was the data connector, nope not happening. Oh well I'm sure there will
be other stuff I need, they did not have any electric fans, so my list continues. So now off to lt1swap.com for some serious reading
