the setup can only regulate so much flow/pressure going beyond what it was manufactored for will have side effects. its a 20 dollar item its not the answer to everyones build

It was 70 psi before the Walbro was put in... Stock pump.

They are like 110 bucks :lol: even on a stock pump, he was pushing 70psi.... a regulator is supposed to regulate, not just cut down a %. If I put a walbro behind my factory return style regulator...I'm almost positive my pressure wouldn't jump up 8psi.


The fact that SOME people are running the SAME setup, has to mean something is hooked up wrong/ wrong with this filter. So instead of telling him to spend more money, I'd personally like to figure out why, if for no other reason, someone else can learn from it in the future.

I put the Corvette filter on 3 vehicles and they all were right at 60 psi with a walbro 255lph pump. Not sure what your issue could be unless maybe you have the filter installed wrong or you have restriction in the return line.

Vette regulators are 40 bucks tops. Other aftermarket adjustables are higher. Either way. There's an issue somewhere to be hitting 80 psi. My walbro in my 08 was hitting 70s when voltage was increased. His shouldn't do that. Something is wrong.

I am assuming you have the feed from the tank going into the 3/8 fitting and the return flow going to the tank in the 5/16" fitting and these two are both on the same side of the filter?

yes... the 2 male fittings are going into stock lines.... the male fitting of the rail is going into the female fitting of the filter. The rail is 3/8. The filter had a 3/8 female on one side, 3/8 male on other, and 5/16 male on same side. I put the 3/8 on the top line (which had the 3/8 from factory). I'm going to flip it around tomorrow and see what happens, should only take 10 seconds. If that doesn't work, we'll try another filter.


Dealer wanted 140 for filter, Autozone wanted 110, advance was 80, oreillys was 50.

Rock Auto sells them for 30$

good to know. it was kind of a last minute thing. This one has a 1 yr warranty...may come in handy.

or ditch the idea and just get a crossover made for the stock system. its better system to work with anyways
