Reading a little about pump rub it seem that it will only leak once moving, well mine leaks even sitting a long time. Really really slow drip.
This last one I did leakd while sitting because the fluid was everywhere.
well i cleaned it all up to really see were it was coming from, and it looks like its cooming from the gasket from the tran to the transfer. its a metal gasket if you know what im talking about. if not i can snap some pics.
Yeah most people when reinstalling use rtv.
Thanks man ill get some pics just to make sure tho.
There is an o-ring gasket in there. Has the trans/transfer case ever been out before? If so, you may have pinched it on the install.
Just get a new o-ring and you'll be fine.
As far as the verter swap, you should move the tranny to the ground. Putting an 80e verter + fluid up to a tranny in a 4WD 2500 truck is not gunna be fun.
OO yea ino its not going to be fun. thats why i was so pissed when my verter when out. the transfer case has never been drop which leaves me to wonder why it would start leaking like that.
This new converter is retarded heavy, never realized how heavy they really were until i had to pick it up from my front door.
