Guys, something going on here u care to explain?
Tyler aln with Dale had an electrical gremlin that liked to eat trannys
BTW I hear Tyler likes to eat a tranny every now and then
Yeah it was an electrical gremlin, GQ doesnt have the balls to cause a mechanical failure.
A few things come to mind when I hear a complaint like yours. There are three things in that shift kit that effect the 1-2 shift.
First is the obvious the feed hole size. In a truck I would drill it to the smaller size in the directions.
Second is the 1-2 accumulator valve spring they have you install. I have seen where the valve and sleeve stick and do weird stuff. Also make sure that you did not install it upside down. It is easy to do and most guys do it by accident.
Third is the 1-2 accumulator piston setup. I read constantly where guys say too remove all the washers. The issue here is that in late model 4l60E's the housing changed. There is not the proper surface area to support the gold spring seat. It basically get all bent up and does not do what it is supposed to do.
In your case I would return the factory springs back into the housing in the OE configuration. This in most cases fixes the issue you are having. Hope this helps. Vince
