I just had a 5.3 rebuilt and not long after i got a squeak just like the one you are having problems with. Did you ever find out what was making the squeak at the rear of the engine?

Wow you will never beleive this one! Took my Truck to the garage after i did all that i could to find the Squeak. It was the rear main seal! The garage had changed my crank case vents and put 2 pcv vales in after adding a sts turbo, buy doing this it created to much vacumm in the crank case and sucked the seal in and make it squeak. They left one pcv valve in and put a cautch can in on the other one. All is working great now!!!!
