on my 98 i put in the walbro 255 and have had 2 go out in 4 months. im giving up on them and putting in a stock unit. but maybe i just have been having bad luck lately
Maybe they're sending you the cheap knock-offs.
its a possibilty they r from bbk. who knows i give up though lol
Buy one from Racetronix.com along with a hotwire kit. You may not be running a large enough power wire and its burning them up because of it, that or you're just running the tank on empty all the time and they're getting too hot.
im wondering if thats whats going on. but last night on my back from vegas it started acting up and almost left me stranded. i just order up a new stock pump and going to put it in and see what happens
walbro has a bad batch of the 255, i think mine is bad too, takes a few cranks to start.
lets say the 96 fuel pump will work, is there an adapter to adapt the stock (96) line to the 03 fuel rail (different fittings)?
yeah russel makes some. my 255 would lose pressure and would only make 10 psi but like red said i think its not getting enough current through the stock wiring
