thats bullcrap IMO. You can't test a PCM without putting it on an engine and seeing if it runs or not. Bad burns happen all the time. Who is your tuner?

are you sure you have your switched hot(pink) hot in start and run, not just run, have seeen that and they will not start period if that is the case
That the first thing I checked. My 68 pontiac had that problem took a little while to trace it down. The ingition switch has one hot key on and another hot in run only. I reckecked all my power wires today. Jim
Try the PCM in a vehicle it was designed for and see if it works. I bet it won't.
My truck has a 5.3 silverado engine/trans. When it came back the pcm had hand written on it 6 speed 00 ls1. I thougt that was trouble when I saw it, but my thinking was it would be flashed anyway so it could work, right? I need a PCM don't I? Jim
Something sounds suspect. You know someone with a 5.3/60e? See if you can trade out PCMs for a moment to test it out.
would the pcm out of my 6.0 pontiac work? it has the drive by wire and a 80le I thought about changing it in yesterday. The model is an 01 I think out of a 2500 sub that I bought at the salvage sale I use. Jim
Would the truck run with a stock tune?if so I may just pick up a pcm today when I go to Little Rock to buy trucks. Jim
Nope, the PCM has to be tuned for a 99-02 year model and have the red and blue connectors like yours. It will need to have the VATS disabled or it will not run more than a few seconds at most. Mine would not start, just like yours, with the VATS still enabled.
