Hey guys:
Wanted to get your impression of the 1500 Vortec Max option. I have already made a purchase, and will have the truck tomorrow, so I am asking with _some_ hesitation to what y'all will say. Its a grey crew cab 4x4. I'd like to put a maggie and full exhaust, as well as a cam, and port my heads later.

Ya it is a great starting place. My Dad just picked up a 05 gmc sierra 4x4 2500hd. You will love it man. :thumb:

Great platform. Good plan on the mods. Agree with everything but porting the heads. Spend that money elsewhere wisely and you will make more power for the money.
