I have seen the jet 4th gear servos and the Jet 1-2 servos and have heard yall talk about corvette servos and was wondering which one are reccomended and what the install is like on the because i have heard its not to difficult. Also what gains will i see or changes should i expect to occur when shifting

The term vette servo refers to the design of the unit. Larger surface area to apply more pressure on bands at shift vs the stocker. It isn't to difficult. Tedious. Not much room with the trans in, to put it in , or wasn't in my truck. Took a while to get it in and the c-clip back on cause I couldn't install it all together. I also had some trouble changing out the spring in accum to it. Holding it together and compressed so as to install the c-clip in it. Also a little trouble putting the final c-clip that holds the entire thing in. Was easier the second time around. It will firm up the 1-2 shift significantly.Quote:

Not sure about the Jet servos or the Vette servos but I do have a TCI 1-2 Billet Servo and at WOT with the line pressure stock when it shifts your neck will snap. During normal driving the shift is almost instant also but not to harsh at least for me.
hey KY do you know the quarter trick or the "bottlecap" trick makes it wicked easy

Holding it together and compressed so as to install the c-clip in it." jut get a C clamp and 2 quarters (some ppl use bottlecaps,but quarters work fine, just be careful not to scratch anything) put the quarters over the center where theres a hole to protect the hole and compress it together with the c clamp then it makes it simple to install the c clip

or just use a bolt through the center hole with some washers and tighten it down to remove the c-clip
