Transgo HD2 Shift Firmness?

Instaling the Transgo HD2 (4l80e) and was wondering what hole sizes to go with for the ABC holes. Options are:

A-4th
B-3rd
C-2nd

Hole Sizes
Average= 0.86
Softer= 0.76
Firm= 0.96

I am going to be running a Circle D Triple Disc Convertor with about 2800 stall and turbo. Want to make sure I am not on the harsh shifting side by opening them up too far. I am assuming the 1st to 2nd is the one I should be more worried about? Any Suggestions are welcomed because everything I have read is a little confusing as there is not a definitive write-up given my mods.

Also which ACCUM SPRING setup did everyone use for shift firmness?

Both Large and Small springs (Average).
Large outer spring only (Firm).
Small inner spring (Firmest).

It's hard to determine how the firmness will turn out unless you do them all the time.

But, anytime we install this kit we use the larger hole for the separator plate.
The HD kit doesn't have too much more to decide firmness, but if so choose the medium setting.

U can always firm up the shift by increasing line pressure where you want to with tweakin the tune.

Just to add to what Allen said, a stall converter is going to soften up the shifts too. Something to keep in mind.

Thanks guys. I will go with the larger holes and use the tune to help out a bit later. I will be running a Circle D Tripple Disc Converter which is roughly 2800 stall, how much will this help if any?

Help how? Help your 0-60? He'll yeah. Help firm up the shifts not so much. Seat of the pants difference when adding an aftermarket stall is maybe the best bang for your buck.

According to the instructions from Transgo they state that a higher stall TC, over stock, will help soften the shifts a bit with this kit. I cannot wait till its all buttoned up and ready to go!
