Now that I have the 5.3 running in my truck I want a scan tool that can read misfire data and bidirectional controls if possible. Stuff like crank position relearn and stuff like that. I have been looking at a few but unsure what the hptuners scanner can do. Is it capable of controls like that? thanks
Yes hptuners will do those things, but you may need to load some customs pids for things like misfire data. Hptuners is just about the most powerful scan tool on the market.

Hptuners makes a scan only tool that's like $350
