I forgot login info and had to make this new account. My question is are there any problems putting a t56 behind a 5.3 in an 88 obs? I can't find much info in searches but I'm checking to make sure there are no extra conversions needed? My truck has the factory 5 speed manual and I want to do the 5.3/t56 and later a 6.0 or so. Is keeping it manual with a 6 speed more simple than going with 4l60 or 80?
Just like bolting one up to an LS1. No big deal.
I figured so. I just seen that people were getting adapters and different clutch kits and pressure plates. I didn't understand why a stock ls style trans wouldn't just bolt up and go in. My truck is already manual, I'm keeping it very simple and looking forward to not having to reach so far for the tall shifter. I'm tall and have the seat as far back as possible.
What about wiring? Could the harness from donor vehicle with automatic work or be modified to work?
