Will stock internals on my 2004 5.3 handle a 150 shot? Going to Nelsons to get a retune next week and was thinking if it would handle it, may as well have him tune it for the 150 shot. Kinda the go big or go home!

mine has arp connecting rod bolts, not arp 2000s just the standard arps, i dont the difference in those and stock but thats all i got and i run a 200. i would think you would be fine man. especially on a progressive.
Its on a window switch and doesnt kick in till 3500 rpm and not progressive
i never have seen any rod bolts let go, personally or on a customers vehicle, it's always the rods due to detonation, or overpowering them. or a blown piston.
let's tune it for a 150
Lets!! See ya next Tues
tune it for 150 and let her breath :woot:
I ran 175 shot on mine, with 100 octane, and br7ef plugs, went thru about 10 bottles, no problems. Only had 2* timing cut. Never saw any knock, plugs looked great.
I'm selling my kit if you're looking for something
I had 175 in mine over the weekend. It was detonating but i held onto the button a little longer than i should have. Truck still runs good..lol. Im sure it will handle 150 with a tune no prob.
My 4.3 is still ticking along on a 150. Literally ticking, but it's still going.
Mine it ticking also, since the day i bought the damn thing
