can you run 15" wheels up front on our trucks? an 01 silverado more specifically.....
Remove the calipers and you can. I believe you have to do some grinding on the caliper if you want to have brakes.
why? i dont see it saving any weight...
yes you can with correct offset and right width
advantage of the 15" is more availablity for larger diameter front runners [but im sure the hardcore racers knew that]
the main reason im thinking about it is so i can have the same wheels front and back....
i couldent imagine running that narrow of a tire on truck as heavy as ours at 150+...
if you want to ride that death roller coaster go ahead quik, or can you not go that fast?
go with the same rim up front but in a bigger size (if avalable) cus thats the sex
with all that weight on the front, every bit of weight savings is gonna help, not to mention all the choices he has for tires.
we had a truck mitch that had 15" bogarts on the front, it was an '05 model, we had to run a 1/2" spacer ( i think) to keep the caliper from rubbing, but it did work.
the tires were skinny runners and the offset was just right that the tire was just inside the fender, looked good!
If your trucks dropped with spindles it'll be a no go
