Not sure if Casey is using the one I sold him from my old setup. Still a good pump when I pulled it off earlier this year. Check with him
Took the pump apart and cleaned it all up. Added a little 3-n-1 oil to the top bearing and polished a suspicious looking area on the top end of the shaft. Put it all back together and it's working fine for now. I'm still going to get a new pump.
Do yourself a favor and get rid of that STS pump. It is NOT designed for oil scavenging. You will blow many more turbos if you stick with that pump. Get an ExaPump :thumb:
New gold plated exapump is at the house waiting for me to install. It must be gold as pricey as they are.
FWIW, before installing an Exa-Pump, bench test the bitch. I got mine all the way installed and the damn thing didn't work when I put power to it. The bearings or gears were seized up in it. I had to pull the oil lines back off and leverage the gears a little to get it to finally break loose. 10:30 at night and having to drive it the next day is not the time to find out there is something wrong with a brand new $350 pump. :grr: I'm calling them tomorrow.
