Best cluster for Corvette C4 with 4.8?

I'm putting a 2001 4.8 from a Tahoe, 4l60e from an f body in a 1984 Corvette C4 chassis. The corvette has the stupid digital dash which I ditched. I'm thinking about mounting a 2001 Silverado or Tahoe cluster. I can get one for $60 off ebay. Will it need reprogramming? This seems much cheaper than going with aftermarket gages and the dash is going to be custom anyway. Is this a good way to go? Will clusters from other years work? Most auctions seem to say 01/02 are compatible. I have the fuse block already, but not the dash harness. I guess I'd need that. Comments? Advice?

The cluster won't need reprogrammed, but your PCM will to make the speedo correct. 2001 cluster should work fine if you can mount it.

I can find lots of clusters on ebay but where can I find a pigtail? What other gm plugs will plug into that cluster?
