Alright. The 20s on the SSs tires are about shot. To the point I wouldnt want to drive them all the way to San An. Well this brought up the idea of taking the 22s off the white truck and throwing them on. I broke out the tape measurer. Came up with the 20s tires and all stand 30 1/2 and the 22s stand 28 1/2. How bad will it screw up the speedo?
Just change it in the tune.
Forgot to mention. NOT a option. I plan to put the 20s back on the SS when I get home. I do not have the rights for hpt for the SS. I am not spending 100 bucks to change the speedo for 4 days. If it comes down to that Ill just eat the money for 4 new tiresQuote:

So i would say if you are going down in size that it would be about the same but the speedo would say 70 and you would be going 66. But i maybe wrong with gearing and all. If you can just get a gps and check it that would be the best way.
If its only off by 5 or so I can deal with that. Im just iffy about if I had it close to off by 10 or more
dont worry about it, just drive it. Get a GPS unit that shows your MPH and live with it, thats what I do since mine is off by about 4 MPH at 70. I correct the speed and I get a antilock brake code so I just put it back to stock and compensate for it.
It's a linear relationship. Going down 2" changes your tire size by about 6½%, so at 70 mph your indicated speed will be off by about 4½ mph.
