DBW TAC Module issues
When I went to the salvage yard where my 5.3l came from, the donor vehicle had the pedal but the tac module had already been robbed from it. When I went to another vehicle and pointed to what I needed, the guy said "ok, uhh well uhh wutya thank? Bout 20 er 30 bucks?" lol I said sure since I have been seein these go for around $150.
Anyway, what I need to know is what years tac modules are interchangeable? My motor is an 02 L59 from a Tahoe. I have the VIN if that's necessary. I have access to an 03 tahoe tac module....will that work?
Thanks

An 02 Tahoe uses a 12200411 PCM which is a 512kb. The 03-05 TAC Modules are for a 1mb PCM and will not work with a 512kb PCM.

$&@!...... That's what I needed to know it's just not the answer I wanted. Thanks! I already had them send me the 03 dammit. So I can only use 02 and earlier tac modules?

Wait....isn't the 411 PCM only for dbc?

Anyon know what pedal/tac modules are compatible with my motor/ECM?

Really?! No one knows?.....

My C3 is a 2001 and has the DBW like your 02 Tahoe. Only the 00-02 TAC, TB and PCM will work together.
The pedal is the same 00-05. 2006+ will work, but the plug on the pedal is different.
It is an absolute nightmare to find DBW parts for the 00-02 trucks that had it. Any place that says they have the TB in stock will send you a 2003 DBW TB or a cable one. You will probably have the same problem with the TAC. The TB on my C3 was damaged when I got it. I'm running my C3 on a 2003 PCM with 03 TAC and TB now. I finally found a 2001 TB, so I will be switching it back shortly now that I have all the pieces.
Not sure what you are putting your engine in, but I would consider converting it to DBC.
