i have a strange squeak coming from the front axle where it connects to the transfer case. i thought it may be a u-joint but it doesnt do the sound in reverse, only forward. Any suggestions???

Could still be a u-joint. I would remove the driveshaft to the front axle and drive it to see if it goes away. I have also seen some input seal squeak after the area has been power washed. Try the driveshaft removal 1st and see if it is still there.

I would suggest spraying some kind of lubricant on one U-joint at a time and driving it. Once it stops after you spray the last one--replace that exact one--not all 4.Quote:
