tac module
we worked on the truck tonight and when you try to rev it it goes to 2500rpm and shuts down to an idle,it says it isnt communicating with the throttle pedal. My tac module is a 1259008 and my pcm is from a 2004 escalade, not sure if it is the right one, any ideas?

You need another digit in the TACM part number, should be 8 digits.
The 03-04 Escalade 5.3 or 6.0 shows 12588923 for the TACM but that doesn't mean you have the wrong one as part numbers are updated over the years. I can possibly cross reference the one you have to a newer number if you get the missing digit.

oops I left out a 0 its 12590008 I checked this morning and even with out the engine running it doesnt open the throttle blade very far, just acts like it shuts off after moving a little ways

They don't always open the the throttle key on engine off. Also, with the engine running they will hit a rev limit in park. If you have DTC's I need them too. I'll go check your number.

Your number fits 06-07 Classic trucks.
The one you need is 12588923, fits 03-04, and retails for $280.00. Don't know why but we have it in stock.

called the local dealer they said my number is for a 06 -07 and that I need a 12588923 which fits 03-04 they want 270$ for it,guess its back to the salvage yard

thanks for the help ,the code was p0107

WTF....I'll look that up another day but that sounds like a IAT or MAF code...

That's a MAP low voltage code, don't remember that one coming up??? I was doing the tune on it and it was throwing a TAC module communication loss code. Get the right TAC Curtis and I'll come out and we'll put the finishing touches on the tune :)
