94gmc 5.3 swap?
i got a 94 gmc rcsb i want to swap in my 06 5.3l that has 50000km on it i changed the tb to cable already and have my 94 4l60 bolted up to it and my engine mounts from jcwhitney i was woundering what the cheapest way to finish my swap would be ? for harness and fuel i have the 06 pcm also

Get your harness reworked by Nelson and either have them or someone local tune it for you.

the 06 pcm is going to freak without the electronic throttle body feedback. You really need a 99-2002 cable type pcm, specifically a 411 pcm. You can buy one pre-programmed from many vendors. I prefer Nelson Performance - Performance without Sacrificing Drivability . Have them put you a hotrod tune in it. You also can do your own conversion to a standalone harness if you choose. Its not really difficult but it take some patience and a little bit of perserverance, not to mention some wiring diagrams of the PCM and truck wiring schematic.

i'd rather have someone else do the harness i never got in to wiring much i'm a bodyman and metal worker, i can build it just not wire it , i'll check with were i got the pcm from and see if i can swap it for a 99- 02 one

well i just got my harness for my c-10 from ebay like 15 min ago got it for the winning bid of 394 buck. :burnrubb: since you converted to cable i would bet a harness from like a ls1 since its all ready a cable tb. thats what i did. and for a comp i would do the samething and get thet one tuned

so how do you like the quality of the harness? howd you power your fuel pump? im trying to read up as much as i can before i pull my 4.3 and tackle the swap.

so if i keep my stock 4l60e i'll need a crank spacer from a 6l truck? to bolt them up ?
and also do i have to change my oil pan or should it be fine

Hughes convertor snout extension. :thumb:
6L oil pan fits right nice in an OBS truck.
