okay first off this site is amazing lots of good info second i am new to the site and have a question for ya guys i want to get rid of that small 4.3 and get a v8 in my truck i was thinking about dropping a ls1 into it but have no clue what i need or need to do to get it to work in my trucki want to know what the best way would beto get it to function good

Well first off I would say to make sure you have a motor and complete wiring harness i.e. sensors etc. Next, you will have to either make your own motor mount bracketts or buy a setback plate kit. I would have to say the hardest parts would be that and the wiring. You just have to take it as it comes. Good luck with the swap. This site has a lot of info on it:)
Do you have another vehicle to get around in? You'll need one. These swaps take more time than some think.
were can i get the set back plates and yes i have another vehical to get around in how long do you estimate it may take like a month or week jw
I converted my 93 Sierra from 4.3L TBI to a 4.8L LSx. Find yourself the engine you want to use, and I can walk you through it. It's not hard, but it will take you a while if you don't have the parts lined up. I got my swap done in under 3 weeks, and I figured it out as I went.Quote:
