ok... so advance auto parts says that there were two different models of transmissions for my model truck. i know about nothing about transmissions and dont remember the names of them. someone tell me how to tell the difference?

Look on the SPID label in the glove box and post the M codes for us.
no sticker in my glove box... any other way to tell?
i think its important for me to know this guys... please someone help. im new to chevy trucks and know pretty much nothing about the transmission on anything. HELP

i dont have a digi cam. sorry. all i can do is tell you i have a 94 1500 with a 305, auto w/ overdrive. would the vin help?
surely there is a way other than the sticker in the glove box.
it should be a 4L60e if its stock. Be sure to measure if you have a 2.5" or 3" deep pan if you're going for a filter.

come on now. i know someone knows how to tell. is there a different way they look or something? maybe different pans or something...
