O.K. guys is there any real reason to not use the 5.3 engine to swap into an 88-94 FSC?
I would prefer the LS1 but, I can purchase the 5.3 complete for considerably less money.
Keep in mind I know that "there is no replacement for displacement" and I agree so, give me anyother logical and legit reasons not to use the 5.3.

no, still a great swap and you can use ls1/6 parts to up the performance if you wish. Its just like swapping an LS1 into it.

The 5.7 is lighter and has higher compresson. Hay Hauler's gas milage went up after his swap from a 5.3 to a 5.7 with no other changes. Do what ever works for you.
