Correct fuel line connections
-
I got mine at the rod show in louisville, KY from the company "Pure Choice" Pure Choice Motorsports - Performance Automotive Plumbing . Part # 5800 Which are Lt-1, Lt-4 & Ls-1 both are -6AN. Then for the fuel line and fuel filter I used Part #5090 which is TPI fittings. 1- line is 14mm and the other is (fuel filter) 16 mm but both will have -6AN ends.
Great guy to talk to and very knowledgeable. He can make your braided lines to your length.
From summitt or jegs I believe they carry aeromotive fittings but any for the lt1 will fit the lines coming off the fuel rail.

I am putting in a 5.3 are they both -6AN on it also?
-
the factory fuel rails are 3/8" and 5/16" Just take the quick connect fittings off and put those quick connect fittings on each. Yes they both will have -6AN fittings.

So the tube side of those fittings you have linked goes to the cut-off end of the stock lines from the tank that end under your hood.
How will you attach -6an to the fuel rail on your manifold is the next question....

Those fittings are the ones that fit the fuel rail. They adapt it to regular pipe threads is the impression I am under right..?

ohh I get it lol!! So you just stick the brass ferrule on the fuel rail(aka TUBE) and tighten the blue and red together, then that smooshes the ferrule down tight on the end...i never knew you could do that.Soooooo now you have two -6an fittings hanging off your fuel rail. Well, i know on my tbi truck, the female fuel line ends under the hood are *NOT* AN fittings. They are FUEL line fittings, since they hold the silly o-ring and have a counterbore in the fitting for said o-ring. the -AN fitting have that bigol' taper on the end, and will *NOT* thread into a FUEL fitting.

i would not do the compreesion fittings but thats me summit sells the fittings i dont have the part # on hand but i belive they r russel or earls fitting

ok I went out and took some pics. Its dark so they aren't the greatest but they came out good enough.
Fuel fitting pic is the quick connect fittings on the fuel rail. Green tab is 3/8" line and blue is 5/16" line. With male -6AN on each.
Fuel adapter pic bottom 1 is 16 mm going into fuel filter. Top is where I took the union apart and has a 14mm thread. Both adapters have -6AN male fittings. Then I ordered the length of -6AN already made hose from jegs.
I ordered way to long of hose but that will be fixed later once everything is running.
Hope this clears it up.
I totally understand the confusion. Before this swap I was used to just running the ole rubber hose to a carb and putting a clamp on it.
This is the only thing that has worked for me so far. lol. its not leaking.

Do you have a link to the hose you ordered and how did you fix the length problems, cut and splice it in the middle?
