Cam Question
I am looking at on of 3 cams out there for my truck the TR 220-112 or the TR 224-112 or the compcam 220 224 .530 .534 112 I know i will need a pcm tune i am sure i am going to need valve springs, retainers, and pushrods. The question is what else will i need if anything?
I went to a few shops here in houston today and well all i can say is what the >>>> they were telling me that it will take 14 hours to do a cam job all i can say is what, I hear from a few of you that you can do it yourself and it will only take 5 hours or alittle longer i dont have that gift so i am going to have to have someone install it for me. Any good shops around here do a good job or do i need to drive. Dont have a problem if i have to drive if they can do it in a day hell i could take the day off.
Also here is a good part they want to charge me 900 dollars and keep my truck for 4 days....... I am not sure i want to know what they are smoking.
Also if any of you know of better cams out there let me know i want it to lobe good they a very choppy idle.......

You need a ton more mods than what you have currently to support a cam like that
