My name is Lee. I am from Sour Lake Texas. I have a 91 chevy 1500 step side truck with a 350 and i five speed. It has a 3.08 open diff. other than that it is bone stock. I ran it at the Local track in Evadale and it ran a 15.5. I guess because of the 5 speed. I am also a Lance Corporal in the United States Marine Corps Reserve and I am a full time student at Lamar state university in Beaumont and i am a mechanic at a local mechanic shop. I hope i can be helpfull to anyone with any questions. I am interested in starting a truck club in the Golden Triangle South East Texas area if anyone is interested. I found this site through ls1 tech.com thank god because i was looking for any information on swapping a 6.0 into my truck with either the T56 or the 5 speed i have now. I have about 6000 dollars to spend on a 6.0 swap. I mainly want to do the swap because it would be cool as hell to have an ls1 in my truck and second of all i want one. I late plan to supercharge the 6 liter, but first things first i have to do the swap before i can do the supercharger. If anyone has any info about this it would be greatly appreciated. If anyone has any reason to discourage me on the 6.0 versus the 5.7 ls1 or ls6 i want to know. I just wanted the iron block and extra cubes.

Welcome and thanks to you and your buddies for serving our country! 15.5 is not a bad time for a stock set up! I ran 19.9 with mine stock. Ask lots of questions, there are a few trucks like yours with the setup you are planning. Man trucks clubs sure are alot of fun, you should start one!

You're heading in the right direction, there's no reason you shouldn't do it. Hell, 20mpg and 13 second passes, what else do you want, :thumb:
Look into the Radix system if you want an awesome daily driver, you want know the Radix charger is there until you hit the gas, then hold on, full power!!!
Ask away with the questions, we like to answer to them :hshake:
btw, 6L setup with a Radix is what's going into the Tahoe someday. I can't wait.
keep us updated,
