Pretty much figured everything out roughly for the swap. big question mark about weather we need high pressure fuel lines and exactly what kind of fuel pump to use and should i get a tank out of a truck with a gen 3 motor and fab that in. IN THE DARK ABOUT FUEL!!!! in a nutshell. again thanks!
Definitely get high pressure fuel-rated hoses (or braided lines). I think most will agree on a 255lph-rated pump is the minimum you want. I believe Walbro & Aeromotive brands are of good quality. They also make 340lph-rated one as well.
I may have missed a previous post, but what are you coverting to (powertrain-wise)? Does it have a fuel return setup, or what? Do you need a regulator?
In my case, my truck does not have an in-tank pump (just a pick-up setup). I installed an external pump with inline filter. Russell twistloc hose is what I used with compression & AN fittings. Seems difficult at first, but it's not. Ask Allen! :hshake: (Thanks, Allen)

To answer both your questions im swapping a 6.0l into my 90 4x2 stepside which currently has just the stock TBI 350. And it came stock with the five speed and im hoping that will work with the motor, it looks as though it will with a different flywheel but again im not sure im just bankin on it right now
