Actually if your staying with a fuel injected TBI 454 all that would have to be done is tune chip for 454 fuel tables,etc and you should already have a 4L60E, and with todays updated like billet servos and such you could make it work, heck GM used it in there 93 454SS

Where is the 454 coming from? are you keeping the fuel injection? you can run the 700 thats in it for now.
