Thread: cam install instructions..

    i just picked up an LS1 cam from an 02 SScamaro PN# 12561721.
    i know this is a common swap. im just wondering if someone has some instructions as to how to do this. im not scared to break into it, but i want to make sure i dont forget to do anything. id hate to mess something up.

    Check out ls1howto.com, they have a write up on a cam install. Everything is the same on the truck, except you dont need to remove the condenser and you only need to lift the radiator up on the drivers side to get the cam out.

    damn, that was a VERY informative article, with great pics, and good tips. im looking forward to this swap! i just hope its worth the time and effort...

    You should look into getting it tuned after the install. It is supposed to help out a lot.
